Product - the answer to a multiplication problem
Identity Property of Multiplication
The property that states that the product of any number and 1 is that number.Example: 9 x 1 = 1 x 9
Zero Property of Multiplication
The property that states that the product of 0 and any number is 0Examples: 0 x 8 = 0
13 x 0 = 0
Commutative Property of Multiplication
The property that states that when the order of two factors is changed, the product is the same.Example: 4 x 5 = 5 x 4
Associative Property of Multiplication
The property that states you can group factors in different ways and still get the same product.Example: 3 x (4 x 2) = (3 x 4) x 2
Distributive Property
The property that states that multiplying a sum by a number is the same as multiplying each addend by the number and then adding the products.Example: 5 x 16 = 5 x (10 + 6)
